These Port barrels have been sourced from the Barossa Valley and have been ageing Ports for up to 35 years. It doesn't come any better than Beenleigh, the original Aussie Rum from the first Brisbane sugar mill, established 1867. Within a few years, there were thirty mills in the vicinity, a floating Rum Distillery, the SS Walrus would drift along from one mill to the next, converting the by products of sugar manufacture into bootleg Liquor. Beenleigh Port Rum is treated to five years of age in small Brandy vats, followed by transfer to Port Barrel for eighteen months.
