The founders of Babich were visionaries who succeeded in bringing the wines of New Zealand to the world. A collation of fruit from several splendid Marlborough vineyards is assembled into a rich, full bodied Pinot Gris, offering brisk vitality and exquisite style. Chapman Grove were established in the 1990s, after a decade of search to identify the most propitious terroirs in all Margaret River. A wonderful old vineyard was discovered between Witchcliffe and Warner Glen, an elite site which provided harvests to the most prestigious brands, until the wines of Chapman Grove were ready to be bottled behind their own label. The Atticus Finch range is small in volume yet imposing in depth and breadth, only ever produced of the finest vintages. A Chardonnay of exuberance and profound weight of fruit, treated to a judicious measure of luxury French oak.

Ata Rangi are the product of love for the land and passion for the vine. The dry windy climate consistently delivers low yields with high concentrations of flavour in the grapes. Obsessive attention to detail throughout the growing season ensures the fruit comes in at optimum flavour and balance. The care taken extends to harvesting the warmer side of individual rows and going back a few days later for the cooler side. A term of age on yeast less enhances palate weight and complexity, lovely tropical notes of guava and papaya contend for attention.

Craighall is widely considered to be a New Zealand flagship site with a big reputation for peerless quality fruit. Originally a native of Portugal, Margaret River has cordially received and given sanctuary to the wayward Verdelho grape, to make it, it's very own. Small wonder, as the maritime climes and sultry Indian Ocean breezes stimulate the vines with ideal conditions to ripen fully and develop maximum fruit flavour. Ashbrook is one of the oldest producers in Margaret River and has been fashioning Verdelho wines of some import for over a quarter of a century. The vineyard is now fully mature and yielding harvests of the finest Verdelho in the land.

Hailed at inaugural release by industry savant James Halliday as the nation's finest Chardonnay, Ashbrook is crafted from harvests of Old Chardonnay Mendoza clone, picked off parcels of forty year old vine and assembled with a small block of Clones 3 and 5 transplanted from neighbouring Leeuwin Estate. The long, balmy ripening seasons at Wilyabrup encourage development of the most intense varietal characters, a big boned, dimensional Chardonnay, enhanced through a course of new French oak ferments and extended term on lees.

The choicest parcels of Pinot Gris are harvested from high altitude King Valley vineyards where the long and sunny autumn days combine with cool nights to yield fully ripened grapes exhibiting crisp fruity acids and well defined varietal expression. The winemaking team at Armchair Critic have taken great effort to fashion an exemplary Pinot Gris without the influence of any oak, to showcase all the prime fruit characters which make this innately food friendly style of wine the first choice to accompany white meats, seafoods and risotto.

Chardonnay grapes picked off vines, planted to splendid decomposed granite soils atop the soaring heights of slow ripening Tumbarumba, are minimally handled with a view to maximizing fruit character and regional expression. Under & Over is a fresh and vibrant Chardonnay wine, fashioned to be enjoyed as aperitif or alongside good food, immensely approachable in its youth.

Parcels of the finest Chardonnay, hand picked off splendid sites on the lofty terroirs of Tumbarumba, have been assigned the ultimate in extravagant Burgundian vinification techniques. Wild yeast barrel ferments in quality new oak, sedimentery lees stirring battonage and an extended term of maturation, have achieved a rich Chardonnay wine to rival her old world siblings. A captivating biscuit and savoury nose precedes a textural palate, layered with toasty oak and driven by the powerful, high country Tumbarumba Chardonnay fruit.

The spectacular success of Aramis is due to the excellence of fruit and skilled winemaking. Only the choicest parcels are considered for vinification under the Aramis label and the most exacting principles are employed throughout the elevage. An uncompromising attention to detail amongst the vines during the growing season, thinning and plucking by hand, is followed by fastidious sorting of berries at vintage. An elegantly structured Chardonnay style, partially barrel fermented, its bright nectarine and citrus characters are underpinned by toasty butter brioche and chantilly biscuit richness.
