Western Australia's rugged southwest coastline is littered with shipwrecks, the Ringbolt is one of them, sunk in the late 1800s at Ringbolt Bay. Just off Margaret River and adjacent to Cape Leeuwin, within view of the Ringbolt shipwreck, vines planted to sandy, laterite gravel soils within the premier viticultural precinct of Wilyabrup, struggle to grow limited yields of intensely flavoured grapes. A fresh and vibrant blend of grapes which has become the signature of stylish Margaret River white wine. Redgate grow six blocks of Sauvignon Blanc and five of Semillon on gravelly loam clays less than three kilometres from the Indian Ocean. The Redgate property is one of the southernmost vineyards on Margaret River, situated just three kilometres from the Indian Ocean. Bin 588 was first made in 1988 and has always included harvests of grapes sourced from good local vineyards. This stylish cepage of Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon is medium bodied with a delicious burst of of ripe dark fruits, plum and blackberry aromas.

A long and impressive history of the most memorable West Australian vintages, including tenures at the eminent Madfish and Howard Park, contributed to the success of Hay Shed Hill. The site itself is fortuitously positioned at the heart of Willyabrup, amongst some of the most renowned estates, where the first vines were planted and the great tradition of Margaret River was born. Pitchfork is an immediately approachable, generously proportioned Shiraz with light oak and gentle tannins, bearing the inimitable stamp of Margaret River.

The signature red wine style of Margaret River, from one of the region's most opportune microclimes. Cabernet Sauvignon for sound structure and good flavour, rich dark berry fruit character and aromatic complexity, is backed by firm varietal tannins. The Willyabrup district is home to Margaret River's most distinguished estates, it delivers a quality of Cabernet that's unmatched anywhere else in Australia. The inclusion of Merlot adds wonderful mid palate fleshiness, achieving a sweet fruit centre and exquiste early drinkability to the wine.

The inaugural vintage at Picardy produced a single Pinot Noir. With each passing year Picardy evolves into an even more dramatic expression of Pemberton's answer to Burgundy. The mix of clones has infused greater interest in the wine, showing greater texture, structure and complexity. A light to medium bodied effort with the presence and taste of a top end Cote-d'Or, Picardy would have to be one of the finest Pinot Noir in the new world. An alluring wine that's almost too easy to drink, its finely grained tannins making it completely approachable while young.

Picardy is a traditional Burgundian style of Chardonnay with impressive aromatics and profound fruit character. The wine possesses all requisite floral and fine grassy sour sob/ oxalis grass characters expected in a young Burgundy. Picardy offers great texture and solid structure with high acid and extraordinarily low pH whilst retaining perfect balance. Crafted from grapes grown to four clones of vine imported from France, selected over a decade of trials out of a field of several hundred, grown to some of the most illustrious vineyards in Burgundy.
